Alba Contreras-Alvarez’s design aesthetic was informed by having grown up living in New York City, Connecticut, Florida, and The Dominican Republic. She seamlessly has merged the influences of one coast with the other in her original trademark style. A desire to find beauty in the world has guided the designer’s life from a young age, leading her to major in interior design at Parsons School of Design. Later in her career Alba continued her education in sustainable design, & decorative arts.

Her formal education in interior design has given Alba Contreras-Alvarez a sophisticated eye which she continued to refine while working for some of the most renowned firms in the country. Contreras has been in the design industry for 15 years and learned the trade from the best in the business, with jobs with Amy Lau Design, prior to starting her own company in 2017. Alba Contreras-Alvarez upholds the highest standards of quality and style for custom homes and has produced exquisite designs for real living.

When done well, she believes interior design can uplift, and has the capacity to positively impact the human experience both emotionally and intellectually.
